The Alpina Antica Trail is a cross-border long-distance hiking route comprising 38 day stages, linking historic mule tracks and ancient pilgrimage routes from Lake Chiemsee via Kirchberg, Mittersill, Heiligenblut, Kötschach-Mauthen and Venzone to Venice. The route crosses the Alps from the Bavarian Sea to the Adriatic Sea, passing through numerous small historic towns and traditional villages, diverse natural and cultural landscapes, and impressive streams and rivers, offering hikers a unique experience amidst the Alpine foothills, mountains, valleys and Mediterranean destinations – ideal for hikers with a passion for nature and culture.
